Overcross Counseling and Equine Services provides an innovative approach to mental health by implementing the horse as a partner while our clients participate in structured horse games, helping them reach their treatment goals. Our clients can work in individual, family, or group sessions as they confront the various traumas, crisis, and life altering experiences that keep them from maintaining improved mental health. Together they work with the therapist to identify current problems, develop a treatment plan with goals and objectives, and get connected with the proper resources that ease the stress throughout the counseling process. We strive to serve the at-risk and underserved youth, adolescents, and young adults within the North Tulsa and the Historic Greenwood District. We are the only outpatient mental health agency in the state of Oklahoma that offers this unique approach to therapy. In 2022 we served 500 community members, partnered with 35 community organizations, and sponsored 10 college students.
